FAQ

Q:  Are there positions available in my area?

A: CRA Therapy is a primarily Florida-based company. We also partner with school districts throughout the U.S., including Georgia, New Mexico, Texas, Hawaii, Arizona, Minnesota and more! Please contact us to learn more about school-based positions in your desired area. If you’re willing to relocate, let us know and we can tell you a little bit more about the relocation assistance we offer.

Q:  Will I work for the school district or CRA Therapy?

A: By working for CRA Therapy, you will receive an assignment with one of our school partners.  This provides you with an opportunity to make a higher rate of pay in comparison to the salaries offered by district direct hires.

Q:  Will I be an independent contractor or an employee?

A:  As an employee of CRA Therapy, you can take advantage of our exceptional employee benefits.  Your benefits, payroll, and taxes are administered through CRA as an employee, all while being covered under our liability insurance and Worker’s Comp.

Q:  Do you offer temporary or permanent positions?

A:   We offer school-based positions based on the staffing needs of our school partners.  While most of our schools anticipate placement for the entire length of the school year, approximately 36 weeks or 9 months, some of our school partners may request a specific temporary need to cover short-term leaves, such as a maternity leaves or early retirement.

Q:  Will my position be renewed for the following school year?

A:  Most of our therapists return to the same school district for the following year as requested, depending on their school’s staffing needs.  If your position is no longer available, CRA Therapy will make every effort to find you another school-based opportunity with a school partner in the same geographic area.

Q:  Do you offer part-time and full-time positions?

A:  Yes, both part-time and full-time positions are available. Full-time positions range from 25 to 40 hours and 4 to 5 days per week.  Anything less than 25 hours per week is considered part-time and may be as few as 2-3 hours per week.

Q:  What employee benefits do you offer?

A:  We certainly take care of our employees! Please take a look at the benefits at a glance offered to our full-time employees.

Q:  When does the health insurance coverage become effective?

A:   Health insurance coverage is available for full-time employees for individual, spouse or family participation.

Q:  What happens during school holidays, including winter, spring, and summer breaks?

A:  You’ll have the summer and school holidays off to enjoy with friends and family! School holidays, in which schools are closed, are unpaid. Of course, CRA employees are welcome to use their PTO for these times. Employees can also opt to participate in our 12-Month Payroll Plan, in which paychecks are disbursed year-round – including winter and summer breaks.

Q:  Do you cover continuing education costs?

A:   Yes. We provide continuing education support for our full-time employees through our annual stipend.  You may include your CE registry fee or CEU costs in your offered stipend for reimbursement.

Q:  How does CRA Therapy manage and communicate with employees throughout the country?

A:  While our corporate offices are located in the Tampa Bay area of Florida, we are in constant communication with our employees staffed at locations all over the U.S.  You may call our office during business hours to speak directly with our office staff: Monday through Friday, 8:30am – 6:00pm EST.  We also maintain a response time of no more than 4 hours.

Q:  I’m interested in a career with CRA Therapy!  Where do I go from here?

A:  Please complete the online application and upload your resume for review.  We’ll evaluate your qualifications and contact you to schedule an interview with the CRA school partner you’re interested in.
